Camping in the Smokies!

Over Labor Day we went up to Tennessee to spend some time in the Smoky mountains. It was a great weekend and the kids loved all the time in the outdoors. We went with Mark's sister Annie and her family and one of their friends. We did lots of cooking over the fire, ate too many marshmallows, hiked, played with lots of caterpillars, had a flooded tent from a big night-time rain storm, played in a stream, enjoyed a nature walk, warmed up with hot cocoa, set our camp stove on fire, and much more. It was a fabulous weekend! I won't narrate many of the pictures, but they show our adventure. The high quality pictures were taken by Annie's friend.

This large rock was at our campsite and the kids played on, around and with it for hours!

For some reason Christine was fascinated by filling her shorts with rocks. It was pretty funny to watch.

Family visitors

We had a group of family come visit the end of August. Mark's sister Annie and 2 of his brothers. The kids had a blast being together and getting all the attention from all the aunts and uncles. We had fun hanging out, swimming, and seeing some of the local attractions. Thanks for the fun visit!!
