Adriana is 3

On March 24 Adriana turned 3! She has changed so much in 3 short years and has learned so many things. If I could sum her up in one word I think it would be CHARACTER. She is so full of life and loves to be in the center of all the action. She is so girl, (illustrated by her birthday choice) but also enjoys anything that involves moving, throwing, jumping... She is so inquisitive and wants to know everything. Some of the questions she asks amaze me. There is no settling for a cop out answer because then you have to explain why and answer a few more questions. She also likes to tell you about what she has learned. Right now she has great reasoning skills. A conversation goes something like this... "Mom, I want to watch a movie." "No, Adriana. You can't watch a movie right now." "But mom, I want to watch a movie because I wanted to!" She figures that with such great a great reason, who could resist getting her what she wants! Adriana is such a great sister and loves helping all the time. As far as she is concerned, they are her babies and she'll make sure everyone is treating them right. She also likes to introduce them to people we meet. Adriana usually knows who is who, but sometimes just checks to makes sure she is giving the right name to the right baby. She is still our little Mexican, but will never look it with her blond hair and blue eyes. We love her and continue to laugh at her personality and what she comes up with!

Here are some pictures of her birthday. She had a small friend party where they all dressed up as their favorite princess. Grandma Hansen made Adriana a Snow White costume for Halloween so she was able to wear it again!

A few gifts after her family party.

A visit from Uncle Matt

We've got some serious updating to do so here goes....

Mark's brother Matt came up from DC for the weekend and we had a great time hanging out and seeing a few things around Connecticut. We went to the Mark Twain house in Hartford and enjoyed being parts of the story.

Here's Abigail.
Adriana as Tom Sawyer
Mark 'Twain'

We also went to the Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield. It was tons of fun and interesting as we learned more about how BB started. All from a peach basket.

Adriana & Larry Bird
We also went to the headquarters of ESPN, but unfortunately they don't do any tours or anything. At least now we can say we've been there!

Here are a few more of our cuties!

This was a great moment. I was trimming Abigail's fingernails (a less than 5 minute task) and returned to the living room to see Elena covered in wipes she had pulled out.
"What mom? It is so much fun!"
They both enjoy doing this if we ever fail to close it.
