July 2020

Despite the restrictions of COVID-19, we were still able to have some fun this month. After our Atlanta trip, we continued to grow our garden and grew some great tomatoes and zucchini. We also got to go to the pool when it opened a few times.

Christine has been growing her hair out her whole life and decided to go big and donate over 12 inches!

She loves her new haircut!

The girls made a fancy dinner for Mark and me and cooked it all by themselves! It was delicious.

Sometimes John doesn't nap, but then can't make it through dinner. :)

Trip to Atlanta in the big van!

We celebrated the 4th of July with my parents and older sister and family. I didn't take very many pictures, but it was a fun weekend. We hadn't seen much of them because of COVID so it was nice to have time together.

Because all of our Summer plans fell through, we got creative and planned some other trips. This one was a big one... we went back to Atlanta! This is our fist time back since we moved and it was a wonderful trip catching up with old friends and making more memories. We were still careful because of COVID and stayed mostly outside and played at the pool and lake. It was a quick, and very exciting week. We also decided to rent a 12 passenger van for the trip! Our van has been having some problems and we decided that the extra space would be very nice for a long trip, and it was!

The Deckards were the best hosts ever! The girls had stayed there a few times in the past and had fun reminiscing times before. We also got to see their newly remodeled kitchen which was beautiful.

The Deckards had some really fun dress ups!

A day with Ashely and Samantha Gilbert

We had lunch at the park with Mark's friend David from work. It was a nice visit, but we were all dripping when we left.

More fun at the pool to cool off. This is the pool we used to go to, so it brought back many memories.

A perfect evening at the lake with the Rose and Garrett family. We had so much fun being together. They prepared a delicious dinner and entertainment for all. We had fun out on their boat too! So grateful to have such good friends.

John even got to try the tube for a few minutes.
